Privacy
Offbeat makes its videos on your device. Your photos, your songs and the videos it makes never leave it. There is no account, no upload, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and the app collects nothing about you.
What the app reads
Only what you give it: the photos or folder you pick, and the song you pick. In the iPhone and iPad app, Photos hands over just the photos you select, never your library. Offbeat reads their colors and the song’s beats to make the cut.
What it keeps
On your device only: the colors it read from your photos, so a folder opens faster the next time, your settings, and while you work, copies of the photos you picked from Photos. Deleting the app deletes them all.
What it writes
The videos you export, in Offbeat’s own folder in Files on iPhone and iPad, or in Movies on the Mac. It adds a video to your photo library only when you choose Save Video, and the system asks you first.
The network
The app makes no network requests. The open-source studio you run from the source downloads its beat model once, and only when you ask it to.
